Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi state, and Mohammed Adoke, former attorney general of the federation, are all set to speak at The Osasu Foundation symposium.
The symposium, which is hosted by Osasu Show Foundation in collaboration with Connected Development (CODE), is to hold on Monday August 16, 2021, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja from 8am.
The mission of The Osasu Show Symposium is to engage relevant stakeholders on topical issues that lead to the formulation of workable policies and laws that foster national development.
In line with the mission of TOS symposium, the theme of the maiden edition was titled “The New Economy and Its Impact on Less Privileged Citizens”.
Subsequently, at the second edition, the theme was “Nigeria Rising, it’s time: Establishing Social
Accountability between leaders and the electorate”, the third edition was themed “the 21st century woman and her role in national development”, while the most recent edition, TOS Symposium IV, was themed “Rethinking Africa”.
In 2021, the symposium is set to directly address the yearnings of citizens, taking into consideration the ongoing constitutional review which continues to garner national interest and attention.
The flow of this year’s symposium will accommodate a documentary featuring citizens from across the six geopolitical zones highlighting elements of what they consider an inclusive constitution, the foundation said in a statement.
The event will feature panel discussions by relevant stakeholders in government, civil society actors, and members of the media and entertainment industry.
Previous speakers include former president Goodluck Jonathan, Benedict Oramah, President of Afreximbank, PLO Lumumba, and incumbent governors of Abia, Edo, Bayelsa.
