Femi Otedola’s book, ‘Making It Big: Lessons from a Life in Business’, has climbed to the top of Amazon’s bestseller list — less than 24 hours after its release.
The long-anticipated book was officially launched on August 18.
The billionaire businessman’s book debuted at No. 4 on the ‘Best Sellers in Business Biographies & Memoirs’ list, behind Gary Stevenson’s ‘The Trading Game’, Simon Squibb’s ‘What’s Your Dream?, and Phil Knight’s ‘classic Shoe Dog’.

The book chronicles Otedola’s rise in business, highlighting the challenges he faced, the risks he took, and the insights that defined his path to success.
Otedola, one of Africa’s most successful businessmen and chairman of Geregu Power, had described the book as a reflection on the “lessons, setbacks, and triumphs” that shaped his entrepreneurial path.
The work has received rave reviews from Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, director general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO); Akinwumi Adesina, president of the African Development Bank Group; Aliko Dangote, president of Dangote Group; Samuel Adedoyin, founder and chairman of the Doyin Group of Companies; and Arunma Oteh, former vice president and treasurer of the World Bank treasury.
