Nigeria is battling a series of security challenges with the most prominent being the years-long insurgency in the north-east geopolitical zone.

On its part, the north-west is grappling with banditry while kidnapping for ransom has spread its tentacles across the country.

The south-east is not left out of the crisis with the region faced with renewed secessionist agitations by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

As the 2023 elections close in, promises are flying around and the federal government has made a very daunting one — to end insecurity by December 2022.

Hamza Suleiman, a journalist who has been reporting conflict for over 10 years, joins JamJam and The Honourable to discuss the potential of this promise.
