Oyetola loses deputy chief of staff

Adejare Adebisi, deputy chief of staff to Adegboyega Oyetola, governor of Osun state, has died.

According to Ismail Omipidan, chief press secretary to the governor who disclosed this on the state government’s official Twitter page, Adebisi died on Friday night after a brief illness.

The state government said Adebisi’s death had nothing to do with COVID-19.

“He died last night after a brief illness. His death has nothing to do with the Covid-19 pandemic,” Omipidan said.

“Adebisi, 54, will be buried this morning in Ilobu town, State of Osun.”

The governor who condoled with the family of the deceased described his death as a personal loss to him.

“I received with great shock the passing of my deputy chief of staff in charge of general administration, Jare Adebisi,” he said.

“His death is not only a loss to me personally and the people of Ilobu alone, but also to the State at large.

“But as Muslims, we should take it in good faith and give gratitude to Allah that the late administrator ran a good race while he was alive.

“My deep condolences go to the entire family, the APC, the political class, the government as well as the entire State. He will be sorely missed. I pray Allah grants him aljanat firadaus.
