Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, says the party will return to power in the state’s 2026 governorship election.
Speaking with newsmen on Sunday in Osogbo, Oyintiloye said Bisi Akande, former Osun governor, and Gboyega Oyetola, minister for marine and blue economy, will work with stakeholders to select the best among the APC aspirants for the polls.
Oyintiloye noted that the number of aspirants on the platform of the Osun APC keeps increasing, but assured that the party leadership would ensure that a good candidate will eventually become governor.
The APC chieftain appealed to all the aspirants to support whoever emerges as the party’s candidate, emphasising that the next governorship election is crucial and requires all aspirants to work together for victory.

“But we all need to cooperate and remain united for the task ahead to be accomplished without stress.”
Oyintiloye commended Akande and Oyetola for keeping the party united and attracting bigwigs from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.
