Olayiwola Adeleke, chairman of Iganna local council development area of Oyo state, has been kidnapped.

He was kidnapped alongside his drive while en route to Ibadan, the state capital, to attend a meeting convened by Seyi Makinde, governor of the state.

The incident reportedly took place along the Okeho-Ado Awaye road.

Speaking on the development, Olugbenga Fadeyi, police public relations officer of the command, said efforts are in place to get him released.

“Information reaching me reveals that he was kidnapped along the Ado Awaye-Iseyin Road,” he said.

“Efforts are being intensified to get him released and arrest the culprits.”

Also, the residents of the community are said to be combing the forest to rescue the abducted local government chairman.
