Jose Mourinho’s 100th home game in charge of Chelsea ended in disappointment as the Blues went down 2-1 to Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge. `

Bakary Sako opened the scoring for the visitors before Falcao scored his first Barclays Premier League goal since January to draw his side level. But Joel Ward silenced the home fans to send the Eagles in cloud nine.

Mourinho has now suffered only his second Premier League defeat at Stamford Bridge since Sunderland’s victory in April 2014.

The gap between the champions and the top of the table is now eight points after four games.

Alan Pardew’s team now sit second in the table on nine points and the only team above them are Manchester City.

The Citizens have a 100% record and are still yet to concede a goal in the league this season after they beat Watford 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
