Gunmen have killed Timothy Damisa, a pastor of the Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria(CRCN), in Baissa, Kurmi LGA of Taraba state.

The late Damisa was reportedly shot several times by the gunmen.

Rahab Damisa, his wife who confirmed the news, told journalists that the gunmen invaded their house in the early hours of Sunday and shot her husband in her presence.

She added that the gunmen left after ensuring that the pastor was dead.

“When they came in their large number, they kept shooting to scare the entire community and then forced their way into our home,” she said.

“The assailants did not ask for money or anything before shooting him several times.”

Despite efforts by security agencies to combat the insecurity across the country, attacks and killings have continued unabated.
