November 08
19:45 2014

A week after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) extended the deadline for the sale of its nomination and expression-of-interest forms for the 2015 election, the party has released a new arrangement for its primary election.

The party had extended the deadline for submission of the forms from October 30to November 6. Under that arrangement, the presidential primary was scheduled for December 6, governorship November 29 and national assembly November 22.

However, Abubakar Mustapha, the party’s national organising secretary, announced on Saturday that the national working committee of PDP had approved the review of the primaries:

By the new schedule, primaries for state houses of assembly aspirants will hold on November 29, while those for federal house of representatives aspirants will be held on December 6. The following day, primaries for the senate aspirants will hold.
