The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has shifted its national executive committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for May 10 to May 11.

The meeting was initially fixed for May 5, but it was later postponed to May 10.

Samuel Anyanwu, PDP national secretary, in a statement on Thursday, said May 10 clashes with the LGA delegate elections involving all party members.

“All members of the National Executive Committee of our great Party are hereby notified of the change of date of the 96th  NEC meeting earlier scheduled for May 10, 2022. New Date: Wednesday, May 11, 2022,” the statement reads.

The NEC meeting will take place at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

The meeting is expected to address issues affecting the party and will also consider the report of the zoning committee on orbiting its 2023 presidential ticket.

On March 24, the party set up a 37-member zoning committee, led by Samuel Ortom, Benue governor, to decide whether or not to adopt zoning.
