The senate on Wednesday received a petition from Danjuma Lar (Kaduna south) against Amina Mohammed, a ministerial nominee.

According to Lar, “some people in Kaduna state are not happy with the nomination of Mrs Mohammed as a minister” by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The senator from southern Kaduna, however, did not make any allegations against the ministerial nominee, but simply laid the petition on the floor of the senate.

Senate President Bukola Saraki then‎ referred the petition to the committee on ethics, and directed its chairman to treat all petitions against ministerial nominees before the day of screening, which is next Tuesday.
