Gunmen, on Tuesday, abducted Obansa Joseph, a professor of economics, and two of his children from the staff quarters of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA).

Josephine Adeh, spokesperson of the federal capital territory (FCT) police command, had confirmed the incident in a statement sent to TheCable Lifestyle.

When TheCable visited the quarters, there was presence of security personnel, family members and sympathisers.

TheCable also observed broken windows at the flats that were attacked, as well as cars with what appeared to be bullet holes.
