Rotimi Akeredolu, Ondo state governor, and Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the deputy governor-elect, have taken to the streets of Owo to celebrate their victory in the governorship election.
Akeredolu, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled a total of 292,830 votes ahead of his closest rival, Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who secured 195,791 votes.
