The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have begun screening aspirants for the Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa states governorship elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had earlier fixed November 11, 2023, as election day in the three states.

The tenures of the current governors of the states will expire on January 14, 26, and February 13, 2024, respectively.

The screening for the aspirants was conducted at various venues on Saturday.
