The Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa) has concluded the fourth edition of its three-month mentorship program with a closeout ceremony held at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun state.
The program, which kicked off on May 27, 2025, was designed to support female students, particularly those nearing graduation, as they prepare to transition from university life to the professional world.
The initiative offered structured guidance in key areas such as career planning, financial literacy, time management, and purpose-driven leadership.
Throughout the program, participants engaged in both group discussions and one-on-one sessions with experienced mentors from diverse sectors, including public policy, media advocacy, entrepreneurship, and mental health.

The hands-on mentorship aimed to equip students with practical tools for personal growth, career development, and navigating real-world challenges.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ubon Udoh, managing director and CEO of ASR Africa, expressed confidence in the program and its potential to enable students to navigate the transition into professional life with clarity, confidence, and purpose. He also presented awards to the participants.
Udoh lauded Babcock University’s management for integrating the mentorship initiative into the institution’s extracurricular framework and supporting its successful implementation.
