Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, minister of state for foreign affairs, met President John Mahama of Ghana over the recent protests against Nigerian nationals in the Gold Coast country.
In a statement on Friday, Odumegwu-Ojukwu said her visit to the Ghanaian president was to convey President Bola Tinubu’s concerns over the protests.
The minister added that Mahama expressed commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence between Ghanaians and Nigerians living in his country.
Odumegwu-Ojukwu had met with Samuel Ablakwa, Ghana’s foreign affairs minister, over the matter on Thursday.

She appealed for calm during her visit.
