President Muhammad Buhari, on Thursday, inaugurated state and federal projects in Lagos.

First stop for the president was the inauguration of the 157km Lagos-Ibadan rail line at the Ebute Meta station area of the state.

Later in the day, he handed over security equipment acquired by state government to the Lagos police command.

Among those present at the rail line inauguration were: Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transport; Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti governor; Lai Mohammed, minister of information; Babatunde Fashola, minister of works and housing, and nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka.

Those present during the handing over of the security equipment included: Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos; Obafemi Hamzat, Lagos deputy governor; Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of house of representatives; Bashir Magashi, minister of defence, and Dapo Abiodun, Ogun governor.
