The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled a brand new trophy for the Women’s African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The new trophy was unveiled on Wednesday in Morocco, just three days before the 15th edition of the competition.
The new silverware is similar in design to the men’s AFCON trophy. Its top half is made of gold, while the other half is wrought from silver with a base of alabaster.
The forthcoming WAFCON will hold in Morocco from July 5 to 26.
