Members of the house of representatives resumed plenary session on Tuesday after a recess compelled by the COVID-19 pandemic.
But the sitting was different from the usual in various ways. Every lawmaker wore a face mask and sat at least three seats away from the next person.
Hand sanitisers also dotted the seats and other points in the green chamber, with no visitors but a few staff allowed entry.
The measures, the house said, were necessary to protect the lawmakers from contracting COVID-19.
