Super Falcons players with injured Gabriella Salgado at the hospital

Some players of the Super Falcons of Nigeria have visited Gabriela Salgado, the South African forward, at the hospital following her serious injury during the semi-final of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

On Tuesday, Salgado was stretchered off in the 88th minute after suffering a horrific injury during the game between Nigeria and South Africa.

The players from both teams were in shock and almost inconsolable when Sagado suffered the injury.

The Super Falcons eventually won the match 2-1 with a late strike by Gloria Alozie.

The federation added that Salgado will be out of action for the rest of the year.

On Wednesday, a handful of Falcons players, led by Rasheedat Ajibade, the team captain, visited Salgado at the hospital.
