PHOTOS: Sanwo-Olu, Gbaja, Ighodalo pay last respect to Odumakin as burial rites begin

The funeral rites for Yinka Odumakin, Afenifere spokesman and human rights activist, began in Lagos on Thursday

Odumakin died of COVID-19 complications at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) on April 2.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos; Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of respresentatives; Ituah Ighodalo, senior pastor of Trinity House, were among those at the lying-in-state event which took place at Police College, Ikeja on Thursday.

Also present were Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra; Ibikunle Amosun, former Ogun governor; Ayo Adebanjo, elder statesman; Femi Falana, senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN); Gani Adams, Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, among others.
