President Tinubu with Fubara at State House
Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers, has arrived at the State House in Abuja to meet with President Bola Tinubu.
Fubara arrived at the presidential villa on Monday around 6:20pm.
The Rivers governor was reinstated on September 18 after a six-month state of emergency rule in the state.
Fubara and Ngozi Odu, his deputy, had just returned to office after serving a six-month suspension following the declaration of state of emergency in Rivers by the president on March 18 over a festering political crisis.

The president also suspended members of the Rivers state house of assembly.
Tinubu appointed Ibok-Ete Ibas, a retired admiral, as sole administrator to oversee the state during the emergency rule.
Fubara was expected to resume duty on September 18, but the governor was not in the state, as he was away abroad.

On September 19, the Rivers governor arrived in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital, amid jubilation by his supporters.
In a statewide broadcast, he said Rivers must now focus on reconciliation and development after six months of emergency rule.
Fubara added that he resisted the pressure to challenge the constitutionality of the emergency rule and the suspension of the suspension of democratic institutions in the state.
