PHOTOS: Ghana’s opposition party youth protest police brutality, bad governance

Thousands of demonstrators from the youth wing of the National Democratic Congress, Ghana’s opposition party, on Thursday took to the streets of Accra, the nation’s capital, to protest police brutality and bad governance.

In June, two persons were shot dead following a clash between #FixTheCountry protesters and the military in Ghana.

They were said to have been protesting rising youth unemployment, inefficient health system, the rising cost of rent, among other issues.

On Tuesday, protesters gathered in Accra to ‘March For Justice’ over the killings, economic hardships and to demand better governance from Nana Akufo-Addo, the country’s president.
