Some internally displaced persons (IDPs) were at the Abuja residence of Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi west, on Monday.
This followed a siege laid to the lawmaker’s house by security operatives.
Earlier in the day, Melaye was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja and prevented from boarding a flight to Morocco.
The IDPs who showered encomiums on the lawmaker vowed to remain there until the police vacate the place.
