Ahmed Musa, former Super Eagles captain, was unveiled by Pillars at the club secretariat in Kano on Thursday evening.

Musa was handed his favourite number seven by Surajo Jambul, the club chairman.

The winger vowed to go one further than his last outing with the club and stir them to a league triumph this season.

“I left Pillars over 10 years ago without winning the league then but now I will make a special record by leading the club to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title,” he said.

On April 13, the 2013 AFCON winner signed a flexible contract with the Sai Masu Gida boys till the end of the season with an option to eject the deal at the reception of favourable offer from Europe.

Musa left Pillars for VVV Venlo in 2010 before heading to Russia in the books of CSKA Moscow where he announced himself to the world, winning the Russian league three times with the club.

Kano Pillars are currently second on the league table behind leaders Kwara United on goal difference.
