A massive crowd attended the event where the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) presented governorship flag to Adekunle Akinlade, preferred candidate of Ibikunle Amosun, governor of Ogun state, for the 2019 gubernatorial election.

Akinlade had pulled out of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) following his inability to secure the party’s ticket.

Amosun had consented to his action but said President Muhammadu Buhari’s reelection is key.

At the event, pictures of Buhari and Akinlade were on virtually all the publicity materials displayed. Dapo Abiodun is the APC flagbearer in the state.
