A motorcyclist is currently trapped under a petrol tanker that fell on its side at the Alaba express bus-stop, Apapa Oshodi expressway in Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos.
According to Margaret Adeseye, director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the tanker was moving outbound Mile 2 when it lost control and fell on its side, and spilled its content.
“The incident is being mitigated by the Ajegunle fire crew of the agency and has it under control with no palpable cause for alarm,” she said.
“An adult male motorcyclist is however trapped beneath the tanker as efforts are ongoing to recover him.”
She added that more updates would be released as rescue effort is ongoing.
