PHOTOS: NSCDC unveils new uniform to be worn on Tuesdays

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has unveiled a new uniform expected to be worn by officers on Tuesdays.

The uniform was unveiled on Friday at an event attended by Rauf Aregbesola, minister of interior, and Ahmed Audi, NSCDC commandant-general.

The uniform is a white shirt with red collar on navy blue trousers.

Audi said the new uniform will be identified as ‘officers wear number 5C’, adding that the white shirt symbolises peace.

The NSCDC CG also explained the significance of the various designs of the agency’s berets, adding that black is used for general duty, white for provost unit in charge of instilling discipline, light blue for the female squad, while the red beret is for medical personnel of the corps.

On his part, Aregbesola said the unveiling of the new uniform is part of ongoing efforts to reform the agency.
