Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos state, were among dignitaries who attended the funeral service of late Ayodele Adebanjo, former factional leader of Afenifere, the pan-Yoruba socio-political group.
Adebanjo died on the morning of Friday, February 14, at his residence in Lekki, Lagos state.
The funeral ceremony was held on Saturday at St. Phillips Anglican Church, Isanya Ogbo, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state.
The funeral brought together family, friends, and political figures to celebrate his enduring legacy of advocating of democracy, true federalism, and national unity.

Former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo state, were among dignitaries who attended the solemn occasion held in honour of the deceased.
