Former President Olusegun Obasanjo underwent COVID-19 test at his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital, during the weekend.
According to Kehinde Akinyemi, his media aide, the test came back negative.
The former president has received many guests, especially politicians, recently.
He has been in the news over his sarcastic comment on Buruji Kashamu, a former senator from Ogun state, who died from COVID-19 complications on Saturday.
Obasanjo, who had a long running battle with him, had said while Kashamu evaded justice, he could not escape death.
