Ahmed Ododo, governor of Kogi, has met with security chiefs to strengthen security in the state.
The security chiefs at the meeting included Olufemi Oluyede, chief of defence staff (CDS); Waidi Shaibu, chief of army staff; Kayode Egbetokun, inspector-general of police (IGP); and Tosin Ajayi, director general of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Kingsley Fanwo, state commissioner for information and communications, said the engagements were “quite fruitful”, noting that they were geared towards deepening collaboration with national security agencies.
Fanwo, who spoke on Monday, said the consultations followed Ododo’s meeting with Nuhu Ribadu, national security adviser (NSA).
