Gabriel Olonisakin, former chief of defence staff, and Sadique Abubakar, former chief of air staff, handed over to their respective successors on Friday.

While Olonisakin handed over to Lucky Irabor, a major-general of the Nigerian army, as the chief of defence staff, Abubakar stepped aside for Isiaka Amao as the chief of air staff.

Also, Ibok-Ete Ibas handed over to Awwal Gambo as the newly appointed chief of naval staff.

President Muhammadu Buhari had, on Tuesday, appointed new service chiefs following the resignation of the former ones.
