Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, on Friday, attended the funeral held for Adebayo Alao-Akala, former governor of Oyo state.

Alao-Akala died on January 12, 2022, in Ogbomoso — he was aged 71.

Osinbajo had described the late statesman as a generous person during a condolence visit to the family in January, saying Alao-Akala always gave him pocket money when he needed financial assistance, long before he became a professor.

Also present at the funeral were Kayode Fayemi, governor of Ekiti; Seyi Makinde, Oyo governor; Sunday Dare, minister of youth and sports development, and Amosun Ibukunle, former governor of Ogun.
