Nigeria commenced its COVID-19 vaccination with frontline health workers in Abuja last Friday.

After President Muhamadu Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo received the vaccine on Saturday at the presidential villa, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) started deployment to states.

Ogun was the first state to get the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, and Dapo Abiodun became the first governor to receive the jab.
