PHOTOS: ‘Wike for president’ campaign posters surface in Abuja
Posters promoting Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state, for president ahead of the 2023 general election have surfaced in the federal capital territory (FCT).
Some of the posters seen by TheCable on Monday were on buildings located on Herbert Macaulay road in the Central Business District (CBD) of the FCT.
The district is home to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), the Defence College and Radio House.
The posters had the inscription, ‘Rescue Nigeria 2023 from insecurity, poverty, bandits, killing’.
Wike is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Kelvin Ebiri, media aide to the governor, did not answer calls or respond to text message sent to him on the development.
Campaign posters are common in Abuja and usually, there is no evidence of the person behind them.
