PHOTOS: Women wing of APC presidential campaign holds rally in Cross River

The women wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, over the weekend, took its rally to Calabar, the Cross River capital.

The rally was held at the U.J. Esuene stadium in Calabar.

The team was led by Aisha, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, who is the grand patron of the APC women campaign council.

Represented by Zahra, her daughter, the president’s wife said the the APC stands for peace and progress.

Oluremi, wife of Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the APC, who is the chairperson of the campaign team, said women will be prioritised in decision-making if her husband is elected.

In his remarks, Ben Ayade, governor of Cross River, said the APC presidential candidate has qualities needed in a president.

“Our support for asiwaju Tinubu is not because he is perfect. Our support for asiwaju is because of his proven excellent track record as a people person, who can consolidate on the gains of the present, drive inclusive growth, and lead our country to become more prosperous,” Ayade said.

“The Tinubu/Shettima ticket is the most experienced and the most progressive combination available on the ballot.” 

The campaign team also paid a visit to the palace of the Obong of Calabar.
