Despite dropping points in the 1-1 draw with Shooting Stars of Ibadan, Plateau United remain atop the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The visitors took the lead in the dying minutes of the first half when Ibeh Johnson converted a throw-in but Shooting scored the equaliser from the spot when substitute Bode Daniel was fouled in the box and Ibrahim Adebayo scored the resultant penalty kick.

10-men Kano Pillars defeated Enyimba 3-1 with Kabiru Balogun scoring two goals while Stephen Chukwude scored Enyimba’s only goal of the game from the penalty spot.

Former Enyimba captain, Chinedu Udoji, was given a red card in the game, but the visitors failed to capitalise on the one-man advantage.

Rivers United recorded a hard-fought 1-0 victory against champions Rangers while ABS continued their invincibility at home with a 1-0 victory against Katsina United.

FC IfeanyiUbah was forced to a 2-2 home draw by Abia Warriors in Nnewi. Sunday Adetunji put the visitors ahead in the 19th minute of the game but Stephen Eze scored the equaliser in the 33rd minute.

King Osanga scored his side’s second goal in the 65th minute but they were pegged back by Chinedu Ozor’s goal with 10 minutes to the end of the game.

In other matches played on Sunday, Sunshine Stars beat Wikki Tourists 1-0 while MFM FC defeated Remo Stars 1-0 with top scorer, Stephen Odey, scoring his seventh goal of the season.

Akwa United and Lobi Stars also recorded 1-0 victories against El-Kanemi Warriors and Gombe United respectively while Niger Tornadoes defeated Nasarawa United 2-0.
