Dachungyang
Pam Dachungyang, senator representing Plateau north, has condemned the latest wave of attacks in Jol, Rim, and Jebu villages in the state.
The senator said the killings, which have claimed dozens of lives, are “an indictment on all of us” and called for urgent steps to end the violence.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by Eric Dung, his media aide, Dachungyang described the situation in Jebu as a “war zone”.
He said innocent villagers are being targeted and warned that the attacks are disrupting farming activities in the area.

“The present happening, especially in Jebu last night, is like a war situation and stands to be condemned by all,” he said.
“Our people, whose main preoccupation is farming, are being affected, and this will certainly affect their livelihood.
“This ugly situation has prompted me to reach out to the leadership of the National Assembly on the need for us to push for a practical approach in dislodging these terrorists from our land, once and for all.”

The senator also called for a revamp of the security architecture in the state, particularly the special military task force.
He urged security agencies to step up efforts to protect lives and property.
Dachungyang commiserated with families who lost loved ones and urged a collective push to bring the perpetrators to justice.
