The Ogun command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) says three staff members of Obasanjo Farms, who were abducted, have regained their freedom.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, Ogun police spokesperson, disclosed this to NAN on Friday in Abeokuta, the state capital.

The three workers were abducted on Wednesday at Seseri village, while on their way from work.

Obasanjo Farms is located at Kobape area in Obafemi-Owode LGA of Ogun state.

According to the police spokesperson, no ransom was paid for the release of the workers.

“We mounted a lot of pressure on the kidnappers. Since yesterday (Thursday), our anti-kidnapping operatives have been in the bush searching for them,” he said.

“They were able to trace them to the bush behind the Day Waterman College, along the Kobape road.

“This evening, they released them (victims) unhurt without any ransom.”

Oyeyemi, who said no arrest has been made in connection with the abduction, added that investigation is ongoing and security agencies will ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book.

“We are very sure that we will make arrests soon,” he said.
