The Kano police command says it has arrested a notorious kidnapper and cattle rustler in Karaye LGA of the state.

Hussaini Gumel, the state’s commissioner of police, on Monday, said the suspect was arrested by the command’s anti-kidnapping squad.

Gumel said the suspect was apprehended on February 4 at about 6:40 pm, with 55 cows and six sheep recovered from him.

The suspect reportedly confessed that his gang was running away from Maidaro bandits’ camp through Birnin Gwari LGA of Kaduna state, after fighting with a rival camp led by Boderi Isiya.
