The Ogun police command says it has arrested Stephan Jack, an 84-year-old man, over the alleged rape of an eight-year-old girl.

According to the police, the octogenarian was arrested after the victim’s father reported the incident at the police station.

The victim’s father said he discovered that his daughter was bleeding from her private part.

In a statement on Saturday, Abimbola Oyeyemi, Ogun police spokesperson, said preliminary investigations show that the octogenarian is a “known pedophile” in the Okun Owa area of Ijebu Ode.
