The Delta police command says it has arrested a police officer who shot at the tyre of a moving vehicle along Okpanam Road in Asaba.

In a 12-second video that went viral on Tuesday, the officer was seen firing at the vehicle’s tyre in the middle of a busy road, causing panic among passersby.

The incident reportedly occurred near Toscana Hotel in the state capital.

Reacting to the video on Wednesday, Bright Edafe, spokesperson of the command, described the officer’s conduct as “embarrassing, shameful, careless and unprofessional”.
