The Nasarawa police command says three persons have been arrested over an alleged baby theft at a hospital in the state.

Umar Nadada, the police commissioner in Nasarawa, confirmed the incident while briefing journalists in Lafia, the state capital.

According to NAN, Nadada said the case was reported at the A-division police station by one Suleiman Abdullahi, the husband to the mother of the stolen baby, on Tuesday.

The police commissioner quoted Abdullahi as saying that the baby was stolen shortly after his wife was delivered through cesarean section (CS) at the hospital.
