The Ozobulu division headquarters of the Anambra police command has arrested two suspects over the abduction of two siblings.
The suspects were named as Daniel Onyedika, aged 19; and 25-year-old Nkechi Onuwa; both from Idemili south LGA.
In a statement on Saturday, Tochukwu Ikenga, police spokesperson in the state, said the command reacted swiftly to a report by the mother of the victims and arrested the suspects.
He said the mother reported that one of her children narrated how an unknown person had taken away two of his siblings on their way to her shop along Nwafor Junction, Eziora, Ozubulu.

Ikenga said Onyedika, upon interrogation, admitted to the crime and took the operatives to Oba, where he had already handed over the victims to Onuwa, the suspected buyer, who was immediately arrested.
“During the interrogation of the suspect, Onyedika admitted to the crime and took the operatives to Oba, where he had already handed over to Nkechi Onuwa for the continuation of their criminal plan,” the statement reads.
“The command is expanding the investigations for the arrest of the other syndicate members, while the case will be charged to court on the conclusion of investigations.
