Police arrest woman for pouring hot water on husband over ‘misunderstanding’ in Lagos
The Lagos police command says a woman identified as Dorcas Oluwabukola, has been arrested for allegedly pouring hot water on her husband over a “misunderstanding”.
According to NAN, Benjamin Hundeyin, police spokesperson in Lagos, confirmed the development on Monday.
Hundeyin said the incident occurred on December 18.
He said the suspect boiled water and poured it on her husband over his alleged refusal to take her to his friend’s wedding party.
He said the woman was arrested on the same day after the Meiran police division received information about the incident.
The couple were said to have planned to attend the wedding party together until the husband decided to go alone.
The decision led to an altercation after which the woman boiled water and poured it on her husband.
The police spokesperson said the command has commenced an investigation into the incident, adding that the husband is currently receiving treatment at a healthcare facility.
