Police declare inspector wanted for ‘murder’ in Anambra

The Anambra police command has declared Audu Omadefu, an inspector in the state, wanted for alleged murder.

In a statement on Tuesday, Tochukwu Ikenga, the command’s spokesperson, urged the public to forward any information “on the whereabouts of the fugitive to the nearest police station”.

Ikenga assured the public that any information on Omadefu’s whereabouts would be treated with utmost confidentiality.

“Anambra state police command hereby declare AP No. 362178, inspector Audu Omadefu wanted for murder,” the statement reads.

“The command urges any member of the public who sees the fugitive or has information on his whereabout to report to the nearest police station or call the command control room number 07039194332 or the PPRO on 08039334002

“Any information given in this regard shall be treated with utmost confidentiality.”
