Police nab two suspects over shop burgling in Lagos
The Lagos police command on Sunday apprehended two men for allegedly raiding a shop in the Iju-Ishaga area of the state.
The suspects, identified as Adeyemi Ibrahim and Taiwo Adisa, were intercepted at 6:30 am during a stop and search operation by patrol officers.
Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesman of the state police command, said the duo were in a minibus popularly referred to as “korope”, and were in possession of one generator, one gas cylinder and one bluetooth speaker.
“Upon questioning, it turned out they just broke into a shop in Iju-Ishaga area and stole the items,” Hundeyin wrote in a post on his official X handle.

He said the shop owner had been contacted for return of the properties, and that the suspects will be prosecuted.
