A 22-year-old pregnant woman has been raped to death in Kano, the police have said.

Her husband returned home on Wednesday only to find her body in pool of blood.

Investigation has been launched by the police authorities, according to Musa Magaji Majia, the spokesman of the command in the state.

“The husband reported the matter to the police immediately he discovered his wife had been killed,” he said.

Muslim faithful have been praying at various mosques in the state over the growing cases of gruesome murder of housewives.

Two weeks ago, two persons were charged to court for killing a housewife at Jain quarters.

At Unguwar Katsina of Ungogo local government in December 2015, another housewife was murdered.
