Goncalo Ramos scores a 90th-minute winner to give PSG a 2-1 win over Barcelona
Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to defeat Barcelona 2-1 in their UEFA Champions League (UCL) league phase encounter at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium on Wednesday.
The UCL champions were patient in a match in which they exposed Barcelona’s famed high defensive line to win the highly competitive encounter.
PSG were missing the majority of their first-team players, including Ousmane Dembele, the Ballon d’Or winner, while Barcelona welcomed back Lamine Yamal to the starting XI.

Barcelona’s high line through Nuno Mendes, who threaded the ball for Senny Mayulu to equalise with a well-taken shot on 38 minutes.
Both sides had chances to seal all three points in the second period, but it was PSG who grabbed the opportunity in the 90th minute. Goncalo Ramos sprang the offside trap to latch on to Achraf Hakimi’s cross and slot home the winner.
PSG have won both league phase matches and are on six points, while Barcelona lost and remains on six points.

Elsewhere, Arsenal scored once in each half to seal a 2-0 victory over Olympiakos, while a last-minute penalty helped Monaco secure a 2-2 draw against Manchester City in France despite Erling Haaland’s brace. Newcastle United also grabbed their first UCL win of the season with an emphatic 4-0 win at Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium.
