PSquare reconciles with Soundcity after 7 months

PSquare reconciles with Soundcity after 7 months

P-Square, popular Nigerian R&B group, has made peace with Soundcity, a music and lifestyle channel on DSTV, after seven months of rancour between both parties.

The identical twin brothers engaged Soundcity and it’s management in a battle for months following claims that the channel did not air their videos.

The group also went as far as urging their fans not to watch the channel again.

Soundcity responded to the allegation, saying it reserved the right to choose the kind of songs to be aired on its station. It claimed that the disagreement arose because PSquare was not satisfied with the money offered to perform at their event.

However, on Friday, the twin brothers took to their respective Instagram account to express joy at the settlement.

Paul Okoye, one half of the musical duo wrote “Shoutout to@soundcityafrica @soundcitytv for giving peace a chance ???????? thanks to@tajadepetu and @lamidelagos God bless you guys ????.”

Sharing a picture of the Soundcity logo, Peter Okoye expressed gratitude to the Soundcity team.

“Thank you@soundcityafrica @soundcitytv@tajadepetu and all the entire team!????????Remain blessed always.”

The disagreement occurred in September 2015 with Soundcity staying away from PSquare’s videos.

Globacom recently released a statement saying the musicians were still ambassadors of the telecommunications company despite the social media fight that occurred between the brothers few weeks ago, which fuelled speculations of a split.
